THEME: 50TH ANNIVERSARY COMMEMORATIVE POSTER
Competition closes: 18 Nov 2014
Voting period: 21 Oct 2014 - 18 Nov 2014
To mark the 50th anniversary of Roald Dahl's deliciously dark novel Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, we're teaming up with Sam Mendes’ gigantic new stage musical to invite you to design a commemorative poster that will be used to celebrate the milestone.
Having been reinvented multiple times for stage and screen, not to mention littering everyday language with a host of new images and phrases, we’re looking for a poster that will tap into the nostalgia for the characters that we all know and love, whilst bringing out the darkly playful humour of the piece and maintaining the brand of the production.

When Charlie wins a golden ticket to the weird and wonderful Wonka Chocolate Factory, it’s the chance of a lifetime to feast on the sweets he’s always dreamed of. But beyond the gates astonishment awaits, as down the sugary corridors, and amongst the incredible edible delights, the five lucky winners discover not everything is as sweet as it seems…
A chocolate garden, an army of squirrels and the curiously peculiar Oompa-Loompas must be believed to be seen in this gigantic new musical that is choc-full of fantastical treats to dazzle your senses.
