JR’S INSTALLATION FOR THE NEW YORK CITY BALLET
Those athletic nerds at the New York City Ballet asked respected street artist JR to take part in this year’s installment of their ongoing art collaboration series. While best known for his black-and-white portraits, he went for a more fine art approach, but stuck with his signature large-format photography. In collaboration with the dancers of the company, JR created a range of black-and-white artworks, the most impressive being a huge motif covering the entire floor of the theatre lobby.
