STAR WARS CONCEPT ART

Written by Robert Foster

Ralph McQuarrie was an American conceptual designer and illustrator who passed away in 2012. In 1975, George Lucas asked McQuarrie to illustrate scenes from the Star Wars script. McQuarrie came up with the basic designs for many of the film’s characters, including Darth Vader, Chewbacca, R2-D2 and C-3PO. He also drew concepts for many of the film’s sets. Head on over to BuzzFeed to check out the rest of these.
