PAINFUL SHOES BY ANDREIA CHAVES

Brazilian footwear designer Andreia Chaves blurs art and fashion with an eye-breakingly unique series of shoe designs. Apparently they're suprisingly comfy and easy to walk in. I think that's a lie. And surely the mirrored shoe is going to make you fall over and break your face because you can't actually see where the ground is. All look great but might cripple you. Tough.
‘The fact that I grew up in a chaotic city like Sao Paulo, full of contrasts, being in contact with such diversity and constant exposure to different visual inputs, has inspired me in how I conceptualize my shoes. I can clearly see influence coming from my South American sense of versatility’.
