No-one has a proper job these days. Ask anyone who walked this planet before mobiles and laptops launched their ruthlessly successful coup and they’ll tell you the same thing: 'no-one has a proper job these days'. No one.

It’s true. The olds are right. Gone are the days when young Welsh boyos were down the mine with a violin aged 12 (and popped their clogs of black lung at 50). Gone are the days when London was a teeming black and white film of stony-faced Stakhanovite T.S. Eliots, nine-to-fiving their lives away in offices interrupted only by the clink of tea trolleys and whurr of telegrams.

Today no one does a proper job. Freelancing is the new black. And not the knights-in-armour kind. Consultancy is king. Rejoice peeps, for we are the children of the hot-desk generation.
